The Situation

A digital sales app was developed on Shopware – an ambitious project to transform the B2B customer journey. The vision: the sales team should be able to advise customers with personalized data in real time – digitally or directly on site using a tablet. However, the technical reality presented the team with considerable challenges: integrating sales and historical data into the consulting process proved to be far more demanding than expected.

The Challenge

Millions of records from sales history had to be linked to the current product range and availability and contextualized—and all this had to be done at high performance, without delays or failures. Every second of loading time could become a critical factor in direct customer conversations. The previous solution had reached its limits: complex data queries, various filters, and the linking of historical purchase data with current sales figures made it nearly impossible to achieve the desired performance for effective consulting.

The Solution

With Frontic, the team found the crucial component for their architecture: data is now processed at high performance and can be queried at lightning speed with current sales data – exactly what is essential for informed consultations in direct customer contact. The API Builder is used to tailor the necessary interfaces for the frontend to the specific requirements of the sales team. The result speaks for itself: search queries with integrated sales data, which used to take several seconds, are now delivered in around 200 ms – a performance increase that makes data-driven consulting possible.
